This policy explains what personal information Shack Promotions collects, why, and what rights you have. Shack Promotions is a sole-trader business based on the Isle of Wight and is the “controller” of your information. Contact us about anything in this policy at hello@shackpromotions.uk.
What we collect
- Account & contact details — your name, email address and phone number when you book or create an account.
- Bookings — the sessions you book, their dates and status, and the messages you send us about a booking.
- Orders — items you buy and the delivery address you give us.
- Payments — payments are handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a reference, but we do not collect or store your card details.
- Technical — basic information your browser sends when you visit (such as your IP address) for security and to keep the site running. The site uses essential cookies only — no advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it, and our lawful bases
- To take and manage your bookings and orders, and to communicate with you about them — this is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To run, secure and improve the site and studio — our legitimate interests in operating the business safely.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping financial records.
- For any optional marketing, only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We share it only as needed to provide the service:
- Stripe — to take payments securely.
- Delivery partners — your name and address, to send merch orders.
- Our own hosting and email systems — operated to run the site and mailboxes.
- Authorities or advisers — where we're legally required to.
Cookies
The site uses only cookies that are essential to make it work (for example keeping you signed in and remembering your cookie choice). There is no advertising or analytics tracking. You can manage your choice through the cookie notice on the site.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and booking information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete or anonymise it. We keep order and payment records for 6 years to meet tax and accounting requirements.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you have the right to: access the information we hold about you; have it corrected; have it deleted; restrict or object to how we use it; and ask for a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email hello@shackpromotions.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including sign-in by one-time email link rather than stored passwords, and securing our systems. No system is ever completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
We welcome under-18s at the studio, but bookings are made and supervised by a responsible adult, whose contact details we hold. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
International transfers
Some of our providers (such as Stripe) may process information outside the UK. Where they do, it's protected by appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data-protection law.

We may update this policy from time to time; the current version is always on this page.
